Santi Nolasco

Santi Nolasco graduated with highest honors (Magna cum Laude) in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Catania, Italy, in 2017. In 2018, he was admitted to the Respiratory Medicine program at the same university, where he began to develop a keen interest in the fields of Severe Asthma, Respiratory Failure, and Bronchiectasis. He was recognized as a "Rising Star" during the 2021 and 2023 editions of the European Bronchiectasis Workshop. In 2021, Santi entered the PhD program in Translational Biomedicine at the University of Catania. During the last year of his residency in 2022, he was involved in caring for severe COVID-19 patients admitted during the Omicron wave. In 2023, he was appointed as a Staff Respirologist at the Policlinico "G. Rodolico" University Hospital in Catania. Currently, he is serving as a Visiting Scholar at the Mukherjee Lab from May 2024 to October 2024.
