Lise Lotte Eriksen

Lise is a visiting PhD candidate from Denmark. She is pursuing a PhD in Immunology and Infectious Diseases at Bispebjerg Hospital and the University of Copenhagen under the supervision of Professor Celeste Porsbjerg. She completed her Master of Science in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, specializing in Quantitative Biology and Disease Modeling. Since her bachelor's, Lise’s interest has been in mucosal immunology, and have since then been working with cow’s milk allergy in infants, the effects of early-life exposure on the development of asthma and allergy, and the function and development of lymphoid tissue in the intestines of pigs. Her current work is with autoimmunity in asthma, identifying respiratory lymphoid tissue as a potential source of autoantibodies, and the effect of autoimmunity on the respiratory epithelium.
