Kate Miyasaki
Kate was officially the first student in the Mukherjee lab in 2020 as a recipient of the CSACI 2020 summer studentship. Kate continued research in the Mukherjee lab as a master's student investigating the interactive role of effector and regulatory B cells on promoting autoimmune pathophysiology in severe asthmatic airways. She has also been involved in the various COVID and post-COVID projects ongoing in the lab. During her undergrad, Kate was also a member of the Bowdish and Miller Labs at McMaster University.

Outside of the lab, Kate enjoys singing and is a current co-director of McMaster's high-range A Capella competitive group.
Fun fact: Kate loves cats and is a firm believer of cats > dogs.
